Throughout 2019 the Village will be managing a variety of infrastructure improvement projects. In an effort to provide information about the progress of each project, web pages have been developed to provide basic information such as start and completion dates, the project location, and a description of the project. These pages will also provide regular updates as construction commences. Below are links to each project\u2019s page.<\/p>

Infrastructure Improvement Plan<\/b><\/a><\/h6>

On February 6, 2018, the Village President appointed an Ad-Hoc Infrastructure Committee (\u201cCommittee\u201d) to review and provide a recommendation regarding a draft infrastructure improvement plan that was presented to the Village Board by Village staff at a workshop on November 30, 2017. The Committee met on four occasions to review the proposed improvement plan and funding model. On May 14, 2018 the Committee voted to approve the recommendation outlined in the report linked\u00a0here<\/a>. One June 19, 2018 the Village Board reviewed and accepted the Committee\u2019s recommendation. Over the next 10 years, the Village will be working to make various improvements including resurfacing all of the residential streets and replacing various water mains. Staff and the Village Engineer have established a draft 10 year plan that identifies when each street and water main will be improved. This plan will be evaluated and updated on an annual basis depending on need and available funding. The draft 10 year plan dated December 14, 2018 can be found\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>

Infrastructure Improvement Plan Progress<\/b><\/h6>

The 2019 Infrastructure Program includes resurfacing of 4.2 miles of roadway. The table below provides a status of the Village\u2019s infrastructure improvement goals at the start and end of the 2020 construction season.<\/p>

  • Program:<\/b> Roadway Resurfacing
    Goal:<\/b> Resurface all 41 miles of Village roads
    Progress at End of 2019 (Year 1 of 10): <\/b>3.9 miles resurfaced 9.4% of goal
    Progress at End of 2020 (Year 2 of 10): <\/b>4.2 miles resurfaced 19.7% of goal<\/li>
  • Program:<\/b> Water Main Replacement
    Goal:<\/b> Replace all water mains rated as \u201cpoor\u201d and 15% of water mains rated as \u201cfair\u201d and installed in the 1920s
